About Christian Kmeir
Lebanese-Canadian engineer Christian Kmeir is an expert in environmental engineering, with extensive experience in the supervision and construction of large-scale projects including wastewater treatment plants, water supply, and marine works. Formerly a professor at the Universite St Joseph – Ecole superieur d’lngenieurie de Beyrouth, he is highly adept in the direction of teams and quality control in multi-site projects and at organizing and conducting coordination meetings with acting authorities and contractors.

Professor Kmeir is the founder and indirect owner of GET Group, which provides a comprehensive range of general contracting services. These include infrastructure, design, fit out, MEP, construction, landscaping, and facilities management. GET Group has successfully completed numerous important projects to date, such as the design and building of Al Messila Resort & VIP Spa at Al Rayan, the design and construction of Al Bidaa Hotel in Souq Wakif, and the restoration of Sheikh Abdel Aziz Bin Ahmad Palace at Al Rayyan.

Career History
Prior to founding GET Group, Professor Kmeir held positions at several prestigious companies, working on groundbreaking projects to create landmark buildings and vital infrastructure. He worked for ENB Ltd Consulting Engineers in Lebanon from 1994 to 2000 as a project manager. In this role, he oversaw the initial stages of the National Emergency Recovery Program, which involved the rehabilitation of water supply and wastewater facilities in Mount Lebanon and North Lebanon, and the rehabilitation and drilling of 40 boreholes. The project also saw the construction and rehabilitation of 40 water treatment plants and stations, the construction of around 100 kilometers of sewer lines, and the rehabilitation of two wastewater pumping stations and 190 reservoirs and water towers.
Philanthropy
Philanthropy is greatly important to Professor Kmeir. To this end, through his business interests, he has provided free buses to the Tannourine community for the last five years, donated COVID-19 vaccines to Tannourine, Ehmej, Akoura, and the Lebanese army, and participated in the reconstruction of four major villages in South Lebanon destroyed during the Israeli–Lebanese conflict in 2006. He has also been involved in minimizing the effects of low rain levels in Tannourine through the construction of artificial water ponds for use in agriculture and by creating jobs in the industrial sector with the aim of boosting the export and use of local agricultural foodstuffs.
